I welcome you to the Church of India website.

I was born and raised in India. I am the youngest of seven children. I graduated from Madras Christian College in the year 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts in English literature. I migrated to USA in the year 1976 and graduated from the University of Baltimore with a Masters in Business Administration in the year 1979.

In the year 1979, I accepted Christ as my personal savior and hungered to know more about my savior. Soon after my graduation, I decided to go to the South Eastern Theological Baptist Seminary, NC and received my degree in Masters of Divinity in the year 1984. God has abundantly blessed me by bringing into my life a godly, prayerful woman who shared my vision. We met in the summer of 1984 and were married on December 27, 1984. God has graciously blessed us with two boys who are 19 and 13 years old and a 3 years old girl. I am presently employed as a Prison Chaplain at the Maryland Correctional Pre-Release System, Jessup, MD.

Church of India evolved from a fellowship that was started in the year 1988 when we gathered once a month on a Saturday. In the year 1997, God clearly asked me to move on and build a Church with HIS AGENDA for HIS GLORY. (Please read the vision page for the agenda). After giving it much thought, we officially started the Church in the year 1997 gathering once a month. Again the Lord convicted me that I need to gather people on a regular basis. So we started worshipping every week. And I must tell you, it has been such a joy serving the Lord.

Our church is based on Acts 2: 42 "And they continued steadfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers."

My personal goal is to make Church of India a vibrant, loving, caring church with strong pillars, and plant many more churches for the glory of God.
